File (Alt-F)
The functions listed on the File (ALT-F) drop down don't change during use; however, some are only available when applicable to the activity being performed (Save and Suspend, for example).
This option ends the current user's session while leaving the application running. This can be used for either security (when leaving one's desk) or when switching user accounts.
Allows changes to the current branch when your company has more than one store (branch) location.
This provides a way to save your current transaction to the database. This can be done if you temporarily need to save a transaction and plan on resuming it soon after (not suggested for long term use).
This is used for resuming a previously suspended transaction.
Provides a preview image of the current screen and allows formatting choices if the user wants to print the current form window. This is not used for documents.
Provides the standard Windows print dialog for printing an image of the current form window.
Remote Client users can print to Cloud (VPN) printers when utilizing the Remote Client. To switch between local and cloud printers.
Allows you to select a different application icon from a selection list or browse location.
This feature allows you to either increase or decrease the application's window size by choosing from a preset list of percentages. This can be useful when the application is used on larger sized monitors or displays with a high resolution.
This exits (closes) the application. In some cases, a warning prompt may be displayed allowing you to cancel and save any transaction or work in progress at the time.
