Tool Bar
The Tool Bar is located near the top of the application window and offers a number of drop down menus. Some apply to the software overall whereas others change depending upon the application area. Users can choose to navigate these menus using either the mouse or keyboard. Menu selections are listed below:
Keyboard Navigation
Pressing the ALT key once, enables keyboard shortcuts for the Tool Bar. After pressing the ALT key one time, underlined letters appear with each of the tools listed. These letters are the "shortcut" keys to use after pressing the ALT key. Shortcuts are also available for sub-level options displayed on each drop down menu. Each time you press the ALT key, the tools will toggle between "keyboard" shortcuts and standard mouse navigation (it is not necessary to keep pressing ALT for consecutive letter shortcuts).
In the example above, a user could press the ALT key one time, B (for Database), and finally I (Item) to open the Item Maintenance database form (used for adding and modifying inventory items).
