Branch
The "branch" (ALT-B) tab offers 2 choices: codes (ALT-D) and pricing (ALT-R). Some item settings are always shared (or part of a "common" record), others can vary by location. Branch settings are linked primarily to purchasing or pricing and can be different from location to location.
The Codes tab includes information related to basic item function (stocked vs. non-stocked, etc.), settings for automated purchasing, default unit of measure assignments, and location code maintenance. Click on the "Codes" heading above to read more about this topic.
Pricing settings include information regarding costs, expected margins, price levels, price breaks, and unit-of-measure based pricing (if any). Click on the "Pricing" heading above to view more about this topic.
