Global Updates
Migrating to the New Ace EDI File Transfer Platform
E-13915 – If you receive inventory updates from ACE through the application, you probably know that they are changing their EDI transmission method, which provides current information about their available products. We are updating our file transfer process to accommodate the Ace API platform change. See Ace EDI Process Changes Require No Changes From You.
ACE Rewards Number Validation Change Managed
E-13958 – For businesses that offer the ACE Rewards program to their customers, we have updated our process to handle Ace’s change to the rewards number validation process. They have expanded the last digit of their validation process from 419 to 41(0-9) to expand the number of validation options. See Changes to Ace Rewards ID Numbers Expand Validation Options.
Enhanced Item Description Search Added to Point of Sale and Other Areas
E-13831 – Traditional item search options may not have given you the results you were looking for in Point of Sale data grids and other Item list areas in the application. After all, if an item’s description has over 32 characters, the application should reference all those characters when performing a search. Additionally, we have added quotes and wild cards to your search options to help you both narrow down or expand the number of items that return, as needed. See New Search Tools for Finding Items in Data Grids.
Update Inventory Quantities on Hand in Item Maintenance.
E-13741 – We have made it easier for your business to adjust the Quantity on Hand entries for a particular item in inventory in this release. You must have the appropriate security settings in User ID Maintenance to do this work. When you make these changes, the application provides a paper trail for this adjustment, so you know where the change occurred. See Making Quantity On Hand Adjustments in Inventory Item Maintenance.
Using the Orgill FanBuilder Customer Dashboard for Looking Up Customer Rewards.
E-13834 – For businesses that use Orgill as a vendor, you probably already know about the Orgill FanBuilder Rewards program, which gives your customers rewards and coupons for items they purchase in your store. We worked with Orgill to make it easier to look up an account’s current FanBuilder rewards directly on the Orgill site. See Using the Orgill FanBuilder Customer Dashboard.
Merge Items Process Change Protects Open Tickets (Advice Notes)
B-72417 – If you have ever merged items in Inventory, and then later discovered that you had open tickets that were left orphaned by this process, this feature is for you. See Update to Merge Items Process Protects Open Tickets (Advice Notes).
Find Lot Tally Discrepancies and Adjust Lot Tally Amounts
LBMH03-155 – If you sell lot tally items and the On Hand values of these items in Item Inquiry/Maintenance forms do not match the sum of these quantities in each location, you need a way to account for this discrepancy, both in terms of the On Hand Quantities that display in these forms and financially in your GL accounts. See New: Lot Tally Adjustments Feature to see how.
Ecommerce Updates
Applying a Default UOM when Importing Ecommerce Orders.
B-116453, B-117371 – When your customers purchase materials online, the default unit of measure may be reflected in linear or board feet (or meters), which may not be clear to inventory team members in the yard. This feature allows the application to convert these measurements into pieces to make it easier to collect the ordered materials from the warehouse. See Applying a Default UOM when Importing Ecommerce Orders.
New Ecommerce Permissions Allow Order Modifications
When you import ecommerce orders and you don't have the exact items in stock, you may need to modify the order to fulfill the request. These new permissions give you a way to allow your trusted associates to make these changes. See New Permissions Allow Changes to Ecommerce Orders.
Sell Fixed Length Tally Items Online
Customers have asked us to add the ability to sell and quote tally items online. We have added the fixed length tally items to the ecommerce API to give you that capability. See Support for Fixed Length Tally Items Added to Ecommerce Requests.
Delivery Route Information Added to Ecommerce Requests
We have added a new fields to two SOAP API to support the inclusion of delivery route information in customer-facing ecommerce documents. See Delivery Route Information Added to Ecommerce Invoices.
Import Source Information Displays on Ecommerce Order and Quote Imports
When you import ecommerce orders and quotes it is useful to see the Request ID and the Source type information. See Order/Quote ID and Import Source Display on Ecommerce Imports.
Lot Tally Sales Support for Ecommerce Transactions
You can now sell and quote lot tally items online using both the Spruce eCommerce and ecommerce API platforms. See eCommerce Supports Lot Tally Sales Online.
