The Rental inquiry provides information about rental products used along with the Rental feature. Reservations for rental products cannot be made from this form.

This inquiry allows a Point of Sale user to view the availability of a given rental product. Begin by entering or selecting a rental product (only rental "type" items are available for selection and inquiry).

After selecting an item, the form displays the product's on-hand (QOH) and quantity "out" (the quantity rented for the current date and time). A rental product's on-hand determines the maximum quantity available for rental; however, on-hand is never reduced by renting the item.

The calendar displays the quantity currently available for rent for the first (top) and second (bottom) 1/2 day periods (your company defines what time period a "1/2 day" means).

Rental rates for the selected product and the documents associated with the current day's rentals are also listed.
