There are no custom import or export options necessary for using Seljax software. Seljax is capable of extracting data from the Spruce database if provided access. Import simply involves the use of the standard Wizard option. Typically, establishing such a connection would require the following information:

•The static name or IP address to be used for local or remote access.

•The port number (if any) necessary for routing to the SQL Server.

•A SQL user name providing read-only access to your database:

User Name: SpruceDBLoginVendor

Password: vendor$

*The password is case sensitive (must be lower-case), the user name is not case sensitive. There may be cases where this user and the proper permissions need to be configured on your database. Contact us if this is the case.

The SQL connection information for Seljax is maintained in two (2) files: Customers.par and Products.par.

For the retrieval of inventory data, the views vw_InventoryCommon and vw_InventoryStore would commonly be used. Additional views provide access to a number of different types of data including customers, group section descriptions, etc.

When exporting data, choose a format that is acceptable to the software such as a delimited file or spreadsheet format. The Import (F2) and Wizard option may be used to import data produced in Seljax into a Point of Sale transaction.
