Graphical Elements
This section describes some of the graphical elements (icons, etc.) that you will see in the application. Icons can vary based on your version of the application as well as theme. The Classic icons are no longer used, but are included for reference here for users on older releases (pre-12).

Menu Marker |
Click this icon to display lesser-used application and folder options. There is no keyboard shortcut for this function. A system administrator may designate these additional menus as "Secure." Security by user ID may limit access to "Secure" markers. |
Information Alert |
This "information alert" appears when there is additional information available (as in the Folder Inquiry area). |
Settings Form |
Some settings require additional choices before you use them. Click this icon to open the relevant maintenance form so you can make informed choices about how the application works. For example, the application uses maintenance forms to add check registers, new group and section codes, and user ID security permission codes. |
Preset Selections |
This icon appears when additional preset selection choices are available for a selection field. Most commonly, this icon is used along with either date or branch selection. When you click this icon, a small menu of choices appears. |
Additional Information Available |
The plus icon "+" appears in the data grid and on the Folder tabs. This flags items entered in the grid having additional information attached, which you can access using the folders. |
Graph Function |
Some tables of data can be formatted using a graph display (bar or pie chart). Graph functions usually appear in the Folder Inquiry tabs. Some graphs offer a drop-down selection of different graphing options (pie chart vs. bar graph, for example). |
Magnify/Expand |
You can expand a chart by clicking this "Magnifying Glass" icon, which opens a new window to display the graph in a larger view. The icon may also add functions to a graph. Move your mouse over the graph's active areas to focus on specific data. |
Attached Document |
When notes or attached documents exist for a customer, job, vendor, etc., this icon appears on the "Document" Folder tab. |
Process Warning Flag |
This symbol indicates a warning has been generated during an attempt to process (F12). Fields and folders containing warning-related data show this symbol to make locating the potential problem easier. The system administrator can determine which fields generate warnings. |
Process Error Flag |
This symbol indicates an error because some information required for processing is missing or invalid. You must correct the error to complete the process. The application marks fields and folders containing errors with this symbol to make locating the potential error easier to see and resolve. |
