These codes are used for defining product codes for use with the Rebate Tracking feature. Once added, codes would be mapped to one or more items (Item Maintenance, Common, Codes).

Product Rebate Codes are also intended to be associated with one or more vendors (Vendor Maintenance) and Vendor Rebate Codes. This is done from the Rebate tab in Vendor Maintenance. For the vendor, a "rebate" Product Code may linked with one or more "vendor" Rebate Codes and then assigned a percentage. When an item assigned to a Product Code is purchased, and if a matching vendor and product rebate code combination is defined for the vendor, a rebate amount will be calculated for the item as based on the percentage designated.

Rebate codes that are not currently assigned to items or vendors may be deleted.
