SmartKiosk units are a convenient way for staff and customers to quickly verify item prices (level 0) and store-branded gift card balances. Some states and/or localities require that price check kiosks are available in stores if pricing is not visible on items.
The SmartKiosk touch screen can deliver clear images of the product, pricing information, quantity, etc. The SmartKiosk will arrive to you already configured and ready to go. All you have to do is mount the kiosk in the desired location using a mounting bracket. The kiosk can be powered over a standard Power Over Ethernet (POE) equipped network, or for non-POE networks, can be plugged into a wall outlet (adapter required).

SmartKiosks can be purchased through ECI Software Solutions. The ECi Software Solutions, Inc. implementation and support teams will assist in setting up your system so it is ready when your units arrive.
Using the Kiosk
Scanning Items - To scan an item, users must pass the barcode under the laser scanner located on the bottom of the device. Information displayed will be an image of the item (if present in application), the item number, description, quantity in stock and item price. If there is no image for a scanned item, the price and description of the item will display without an image. The display information (and image) is pulled from the item description defined in the ECi Software Solutions, Inc. application, and although there are no character limits to the description, it might be truncated to fit on the screen.
Item Scan Results
Scanning Gift Cards - To scan a store-branded gift card, users will scan the barcode under the laser scanner. The kiosk will display the last few digits of the gift card number, the expiration date, and the remaining balance. The kiosk only works with store-branded gift cards tracked within the ECi Software Solutions, Inc. application.
