Type 3

Users can apply BOGO Type 3 promotions at Point of Sale. Type 3 promotions can apply to both ACE loyalty customers and coupon holders. The logic behind Type 3 promotions is the customer will buy an item and get another item free or at a discounted price (Buy 'x' get 'y' free or discounted).

Scenario 1 - Mix and Match from a list. No Coupon or Loyalty number required.

This scenario will cover an example of a "Buy 1 item, Get 1 Free" promotion (Buy 1 Shovel, Get 1 Pair of Gloves Free).

1.Go to Point of Sale > Sales. A loyalty account is not required.

2.Enter the item that will be free if a coupon is presented. The unit price shown will be the full price, as the conditional item to be purchased as not been entered at this point.

Scenario 2 - Coupon Required

This scenario will cover an example of a promotion requiring a coupon. The promotion is "Buy 1 Gallon Get 1 Gallon free".

1.Go to Point of Sale > Sales. A loyalty account is not required.

2.Enter 3 gallons of paint in the data grid. The full price is shown for all three items.

3.Enter the coupon number in the data grid. One of the gallons will reflect a price of $0.00 once the coupon is entered. The coupon has a yellow highlight in the Description field. If you click on the coupon description, the items associated to the coupon will be highlighted to indicate where the discount was applied. This can be useful when you have many items in the data grid and you need to decipher which items are part of which promotion.
