Printing Preference

The Printing Preference option is only available to Remote Client users and is only available from the Main Menu. This feature allows the user to switch between using local printers and Cloud (VPN) printers when utilizing the Remote Client. You can also use this option to set the default label template for the computer.

Use Local Printers

If using the "Use local printers" option, only local printers installed on the users Windows PC will be available for selection when printing any report, document, receipt, etc. It is not possible to switch from one printing preference to another while in any Spruce form. The "Printing Preference" option is only available from the Main Menu. If the option is grayed out, it indicates that you are either not running Remote Client or you have one or more windows open.

Use Cloud Printers

If using the "Cloud Printers" option, only printers installed in the Cloud environment will be available for selection when printing any report, document, receipt, etc. An indication will appear at the bottom of the application reminding the user that they are using Cloud Printing. It is not possible to switch from one printing preference to another while in any Spruce form. The "Printing Preference" option is only available from the Main Menu. If the option is grayed out, it indicates that you are either not running Remote Client or you have one or more windows open.

Default Label Template

Use this option to set the default template for this computer. This is particularly useful if you print the same type of document (ticket, invoice, etc.) all the time.

Choose the list button to choose the default label template you use most frequently and choose Accept. You can also set this option on the Device Maintenance form for this station. (Maintenance > Database > Devices > Station button > Default Label Template).
