IME Integration

"IME" is a third-party, web-based pricing tool. The initials IME are for "Intelligent Margin Enhancement" and describe a service/product of Group CBF, Inc. For additional details, please visit the IME page (http://www.groupcbf.com/ime.php) at the Group CBF website (http://www.groupcbf.com). Integration with IME consists of two functions: export and import. "Export" submits inventory data to a web service so that IME can access your data for price manipulation. "Import" pulls delimited files from IME that can be used to generate price updates, price tags, etc. using the standard Import (F2), Wizard in the Spruce application. This feature is available in release 12 (January 2017) and later.

Setup

There are two steps required to set up IME integration. The first step is to request that Support personnel enable the feature by checking the "IME Enabled" check box found on the Software tab located on the Setup tab of the Parameters form. The second step is to complete the IME settings found on the IME tab of the Branch Setup form. This tab only appears if IME has been enabled for your installation. Both areas are accessed from the Maintenance area's Database menu (using the "Parameters" and "Branches" menu items). Branch settings require a store ID, access key, and secret key that are provided by Group CBF, Inc.

7-Zip, an open source (free) file archiving software product, is required for this utility. This is available from http://www.7-zip.org/.

Export/Import

The transfer of data is handled by the IME Pricing utility available from the Inventory area's Utilities menu.
