The Units of Measure (Alt-U) tab, allows users to map unit measurements in the application data to the descriptions used by the vendor (if different). This can be important for EDI purposes if the vendor's unit of measure descriptions vary from your company's and your vendor requires specific unit of measure descriptions as part of processing.
