Code Definitions
You can use the database function to add and maintain inventory codes used with in the Item Maintenance and other inventory function forms. Codes that can be edited through this area are location (ALT-L), message group (ALT-M), seasonal (ALT-S), price matrix (ALT-P), and units of measure (ALT-U).

To delete a code, place a check in the Delete check box and select Process (F12). Do not delete codes that are in use by any items.

To change a code's description, click in the Description cell to the right of the code and type a new description and press the Process (F12) key to save the changes.
Codes don't have to be set up in this area prior to use in most cases. The Item Maintenance form has special fields with Settings 
icons that allow users to add new codes to the database when they are updating an item record.
