Closeout Day

This area displays a status log for the most recent End of Day (EOD) checklist that was processed (if any). The purpose for EOD processing is the generation of ledger entries based on daily activity. If a specific step reports a failure, contact support for assistance.

Should End of Day processing fail, an E-mail message is sent to notify our development department; however, this requires that an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) server be available to the application server and configured in database, under Parameters.

Scheduling EOD for the First Time

For a newly installed application instance, the EOD (End of Day) checklist won't be scheduled. If this is the case, the overlay message "Not logs found" will display over the function keys (bottom) when you first enter the Closeout Day form. To schedule EOD, choose Schedule (F5) and enter the first date that EOD should begin processing. The time of day defaults to 1:00 AM. We no longer permit changes to the time of day (with release 12.10.x and later). EOD is processed for the prior date in this case. If the schedule time of day is modified and changed to be between 5:00 AM and midnight, the date used changes to the current date instead. It's important to be aware of this when scheduling EOD processing.

It's important to choose Process (F12) to save your changes.
