Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp) Credit Check
You can use the Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp) Credit Check inquiry, (Point of Sale > Inquiry > Blue Tarp) to issue a credit check request to Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp Financial services) host site using your company's Internet connection. This can be used to check if a particular customer's Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp) account has enough available credit for a specific dollar amount before actually processing a transaction. The nice thing about the credit check function is that it doesn't affect the customer's available credit as processing a transaction would do.
Before this inquiry will function or even appear, specific permissions, security, and queries must be set up by support staff.* This is a normal part of Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp) set up. In addition, any customers who will be used with Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp Financial Services) must be mapped to card holders. This mapping is not automatic and must be done by someone at your company whenever new Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp) accounts are set up.
Once any required information has been entered, press or select F12 (process) to request a credit check. Problems with your network, ISP (internet service provider), or Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp Financial Services) can prevent this function from operating. If this happens, either resolve the problem or contact Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp Financial Services) directly. Depending upon the version of the Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp) API (Application Programming Interface) you are using, the appearance and functionality of this inquiry will vary. A new API is currently available that uses accounts for mapping rather than card holders.
*There is a setup fee for integrating Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp Financial Services) with your application. Before use, we must make changes to the SQL Server database and configure some application settings. In addition, there is some file maintenance (that is the user's responsibility) that must be completed before using Capital One Trade Credit (formerly BlueTarp Financial Services) with customer accounts.
